wat if my Dad blogged

I'm retired, consider myself of no use to the society. But I do provide amusement to my grand daughter (hardly 2 years old) ; God knows if she would appreciate it down the years. I doubt if her parents appreciate currently.

I dont give a damn if anybody cares. I have led my life on my terms, screwd up (not literally) as and when I liked. Managed to run a family , raised up 2 good for nothing sons and yeah as an achievement managed to get the elder one married before he could screw up his life.

About the younger one , reclusive and reluctant from the day he was born God knows where he is heading.

I start my day with a smoke and a silent prayer. This prayer includes a request that my wife would cook something good for me but I'm not sure whether I have lost my appetite due to my good old habit of smoking coupled with old age diseases like blood pressure. As I go about watering the plants maintained in our balcony cum garden , my wife would be cursing : the old man is exhausting watever lil supply of water she managed to store last night.

Finally as I sit with my newspaper the phone rings, probably it would be my younger son. He would want to speak to his mom first and would be kindaa dumbstruck to hear my voice. As if I would have shot him though the phone itself with my verbal bouncers. Suddenly his communication skills degrade to that of a mentally retarded patient , but as soon as the phone is handed to his mother he comes back to his normal senses.

May be if I had a daughter I would have understood this fuck up much better.

Ah then I hear my lil darling sneeze I would get to my favorite task of lecturing my son and daughter in law of how to bring up a kid in a responsible way. As if it would help, they would love to make the same mistakes I had made and not learn from me. You see wisdom is hard to instill without experience. The younger one would be witnessing all of these and would hardly care to interfere becuase he has more important things to do , may be he is trying to come up with ideas to negotiate with Iran to stop them from nuclear proliferation or some bullshit.

Thats wat he would want the world to think of himself. But it would take ages for him to lift his sorry ass out of the couch and do something useful for the family or society. I have been asking him to teach me how to navigate thru the internet or how to use the camera but so far he has not got time for this , but manges to sleep 18hrs everytime hes home and the rest is spent in eating and other daily chores.

I'm blessed to have my parents around, not exactly in way I would have wanted. But it helps to have your family around to grow old with you. Not many get to live like this but things could have been much better. We spent a life time complaining about wat we dont have but forget to improve on the things we have.

O God we seek wisdom in everyone around us so that we can spend our life thanking you and fulfilling the purpose for which we have been sent to earth.

P.S. I could not manage to get the spellcheck done

Post Supper Musings

In this thankless world I would like to thank God for providing me a wonderful supper of dal +rice+pickle, nothing can beat this combination.

Just now my roomie has ordered me to get the post meal cutting ready, well nowadays I can say proudly say I make good tea. Well wishers might say finally an alternative career has emerged for me.

Another roomie of mine (famous for taking baths only on weekends) is bombarding one PJ after another. Obviously he's very happy as he is going home for a one week long vacation. People have strange ways of venting out their happiness, sometimes at the expense of others:-)

Couple of roomies join us only during meals , so thankfully they ensure that our room is not crowded. Perhaps they are smart enough to utilise their time for better things.

Right now I'm pretty much tempted to join the group watching some good video on my roomie's notebook but I guess I am pretty much into this blogging thing..so may be later.-)

Another roomie of mine who got engaged without him being present at the occasion is pretty cool about his future and has no apprehensions about marriage despite his young age. From the time I have seen him he 's pretty much mature and responsible and very much ready to get into the next phase of his life. I wish him all the very best for his future. On second thoughts I 'm praising him because he will be actively reading my blogs and post good comments as well.

And before I get up to make tea I wanna say one more thing I 'm not happy with the response of one of the so called oracle experts in my room despite providing him the spreport, trace and watever god forsaken information dbas seek. Hopefully he will read this blog and work harder on future issues undertaken by him. Oh yeah hes proud of the fact that he has published many articles on meta link, and we techies take solace from our bizarre achievements.

Signing off for the time being, gotta make tea and I will have plenty of time to continue blogging this weekend.

Thou shall not blog

After reading blogs over the past 2 months I have decided to start writing. Yet another reluctant decision I have made in my life.

I landed in Bangalore 2 days back after a gap of 2 months, the very instant I stepped out of Bangalore airport the feeling that I hated Bangalore more than Himmesh R started surfacing in my mind.

Pre paid auto driver was disappointed because he would be getting a much lesser fare than he had expected. If only I had the time to take him all the way to Mysore and make him happy.

Landed at work, met my supervisors who were eager to utilise my services but not sure how it would happen as my current project is under the radar of the top guys in my firm and I'm the only resource or I would call mazdoor to have worked in the project for more than 2 years.I dont wanna discuss work in my blogs because then there is a risk that I might stop blogging as well :-)

By the end of the day I was pretty much exhausted, doin nothing throughout the day, had stayed up last night watching yet another never ending series of matches in the champions trophy.

Next day morning, just as I would have loved to , I woke up with fever and back ache. Like earlier time my physical sickness could be tracked due to psychological reasons. I hated to go back to work, the city itself puts me in a state of mind..I dont wanna work here..or may be its the organisation..or may be its some demon in me..which i need to get rid off.

Well the advice I'm trying to follow (will not disclose for wat) is you need to introspect, search deep with in, align with your goals/vision( management bullshitting) and blah blah or may be start writing a blog. After all if there's nothing better to do..why not blog and share your experiences ..and some other sorry sorry soul like you might read and empathise with me.
Atleast this is better than orkutting and reading somebody else 's scrap book and you feel more guilty.

As I'm sitting in my 5 bed room rented mansion (10 of us are sharing the rent) and yeah we have hired 2 maids. We have got some enthusiastic guys who take care of groceries, water and other utilities. This is sheer luxury compared to any country outside India where you need to manage most of the things on your own, no labour for sundry stuff such as washing, cleaning, etc. For my illustrious room mates I would want to dedicate a new blog and describe each of them. (unfortunately a couple of them are Himmesh R fans:)

Now when I wanna wind up with this blog I feel guilty of not giving any useful info or advice or experience to anybody who would be reading this. But may be someday I might be of some use to the society and the mankind in general..till then...dont worry I will contribute something useful in my next blog.
